Request A Performance

PERFORMANCE REQUEST FORM
(By clicking above, you are stating that you have read the below information)

Here we detail some items that all requestors should know when requesting a performance from the Aggie Wranglers. This will facilitate the request process as well as give the requestor an idea of what can be expected from the team at a performance. After reading through the details, there is a link provided at the bottom of the page to continue your online submittal.

Important Information

When submitting a request, please remember first and foremost that the Aggie Wranglers is an organization comprised solely of Texas A&M University students. The team is committed to making as many performances as possible, but our members are students first. They are required to be full-time students as well as others who are balancing jobs in addition to their academic work. Because of this, there will be times that the team will be unable to make requests given the academic calender. This also factors in the inability of the team to be able to commit to requests too far ahead in advance within the school year when the dates of tests, exams, etc. are yet unknown as well as the influx of new members being trained and the outgoing members graduating, etc.

Communications

The team has only 1 official team meeting per week occurring on Monday. This is the only time that requests are brought up in front of the team and decisions are made to ensure we have the input from the team to gather the most couples available. As a result, if you are on a tight deadline and you submit a request on Tuesday, you will most likely not here anything until after the following week's Monday meeting.

Also, as a factor of being a student organization, we are unable to constantly monitor the phones and email due to separate academic obligations, and work responsibilities. Therefore, we may not be able to respond to you immediately, and could take 2 to 3 days for you to receive a response. We will do our best to get back to you as soon as it is possible.

Submission Process

Requests can be made online using the link at the bottom of the page. If you have any questions you may contact our public relations officer using one of the two methods below:

The Aggie Wranglers highly recommend online submittal as the data is entered directly into our request database. Also, with an online submittal, it automatically timestamps all requests with a date and a time. If you choose to submit your request in another form, the information will eventually be entered into the database so its always good to shortcut the system when possible.

All requests will be processed on a first come, first serve basis based off the timestamp. Factors that are incorporated in decisions are what is the requested time of the performance, the number of couples we have available, what other performances we have committed to, etc. Submitting your request online does not automatically mean that the performance has been scheduled. It will be brought to the team by the Public Relations officer, and you will receive communication about the status of your request. We target 6 weeks before your performance date to receive an answer.

Since it is typical that the Aggie Wranglers may give multiple performances in multiple locations on a given day, the team reserves the right to refuse a made performance if the requestor changes the performance time by more than 30 minutes from the original request.

Performance Expectations

The Aggie Wranglers typically give a performance consisting of two routine songs as well as a jitterbug song in between. The Aggie Wranglers will attempt to make accomodations according to the requestor's needs. However, the Aggie Wranglers are unable to guarantee that all individual requests will be fulfilled.

If your request is accepted, the team will be planning to arrive at the location 1 hour before the agreed performance time unless otherwise specified in the request. It is imperative that the requested time be accurate, as other requests being accepted are based on availability, number of couples able to attend, and travel time between performances. Furthermore, the typical number of couples range between 4 and 7 couples, however we do generally consider 4 couples the minimum. Further, the Aggie Wranglers can provide audio equipment if necessary.

Space Requirements

The Aggie Wranglers require at least a 5' square for every couple that performs. For planning purposes, it is helpful to include the space available to give the team an idea of the maximum number of couples that will be able to dance. However, the team is not guaranteeing it will be able to bring the maximum number of couples as that ultimately depends on individual student schedules.

Further, it is recommended that the performance area have at least a 10' ceiling height. Ceiling height below this level may limit certain moves that the team typically demonstrates at performances.

Donations & Honorariums

In our hope of maintaining the policy to keep performances free of charge, we gladly accept and appreciate donations and honorariums to cover the cost of traveling. If you are considering making a donation to the team, checks can be made payable to the Aggie Wranglers. If you have any question about making a donation please contact:
